About Our Practice

There has been a practice at 25 Victoria Street for over 35 years.

Jonathan and Elspeth, known to everyone as John and Ele, trained at the Royal Veterinary College, London. After qualifying in the late eighties, both of them worked for the RSPCA at the famous Harnsworth Hospital. Within a few years the opportunity to run their own practice arose, and they took over the business in Glossop from Brian Moss in 1991.

Victoria Veterinary Centre is a friendly and caring practice, and offers a thorough and informative service. The staff spend plenty of time talking to clients and believe that prevention is better than cure. All patients are encouraged to have regular health checks and vaccinations.

" We care, we take time, we explain"

In 1998, John and Ele bought another surgery in Chapel-en-le-Frith, and named it Thornbrook Veterinary Clinic. This centre offers the same high standards of care and treatment for patients in the Chapel, Whalley Bridge, New Mills and Buxton area. In most situations, major surgical work from Thornbrook Veterinary Centre is referred to Victoria Veterinary Centre.
