The use of cams (cameras connected to a computer) and broadcast of the views on the Internet is now an explosive phenomenon. Many countries, particularly the USA, have free local phone lines enabling anyone with a cam, PC and modem to continuously send pictures of their garden, goldfish, or indoor plant 24 hours a day. The UK is rather less well served, principally due to the rather costly local charges from UK telephone companies - perhaps one day this will change, but until then enjoy a couple of local cams + links to world cam sites.
