Learning to scuba dive with the BSAC is available to anyone over the age of 14 and who is medically fit.

Newcomers to the sport are welcome to join our training programme, and membership is also open to qualified divers of all grades.
Founded in April 1977 and a training branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club, having instructors qualified to teach Club Diver, Sport Diver and Dive Leader qualifications, encompassing lectures, pool training and open water dives. In addition the club has a 5.2 metre rib boat, and operates a regular dive programme – inland freshwater and sea diving for both student and qualified divers of all grades. Club members also participate in both UK based and overseas diving holidays.

THE BRITISH SUB-AQUA CLUB
Formed in 1953 in order to promote underwater exploration, science and sport, B.S.A.C. is the clubs governing body for training. Having membership of some 50,000 in about 1,400 branches, it is one of the largest diving clubs in the world: approximately 15% of membership are in overseas branches. As a national body, B.S.A.C. is managed by an elected council, nominated from branches and elected by membership. B.S.A.C. has its own headquarters in Cheshire, where full-time staff carry out the day to day business of the club. B.S.A.C. schools also offer skill development courses in all areas of the sport. Advantages of BSAC membership include third party public liability insurance cover up to £5 million pounds world-wide and a monthly magazine to keep you up to date with all that is new in the sport.
